6/24/2009, the MRPOA Board of Directors unanimously passed the resolution to move ahead with the creation of the fire district. The board wants to move ahead with the first step towards the goal. which is to file the Service Plan with Pueblo County Commissioners for approval. The board also voted to have Mr. Sabo as our legal representative. He will present to the Commissioners as well as filing the appropriate action(s) with the District Court to bring the district to fruition.
12/15/2009, the Pueblo County Planning Commission unanimously approved the Special District Service Plan.
01/19/2010, the Board of County Commissioners unanimously approved the Special District Service Plan.
11/29/2010, the new MRPOA Fire District was formed. Please use the link below to visit their website.
04/01/2012, the fire district is now able to collect the necessary revenue via Pueblo County taxes and the $7 Fire District fee will be dropped from future billing. We appreciate all the support and patience while this district was being formed.
5/10/2022, the MRPOA Fire District has been dissolved and the Midway Ranches Property Owners Association is now covered by Hanover Fire Protection District.
